Grade 8 Discussion about FUSION and FISSION, the Life Cycle of Stars

What is the difference between FUSION and FISSION?

Fuse (come together)   US ("us," we come together)

Fission  like "Fizzion" or "fizzing" means splitting into pieces

We talked about the connection between DNA and the elements in the Periodic Table.  We found NITROGEN in the right side of the table and CARBON and OXYGEN.
